The Laziest Hunter

Two teenagers stand in front of a screen. One, thirteen, has headphones on and seems more interested with his phone. The other, a bit older, stands out with his spiky purple hair, of which a single bang of white. On the screen, replays of Copen shooting Elise in the head and engaging numerous people at once, and later, Elise's revival, are stuck on loop.

"It's wonderful, isn't it? Unlimited Animus. Rebirth," the older one asks.

"Eh, I guess. Liked her better when she played MMOs with me," the younger says.

"Nothing says you can't reconnect. But you have to admit it's fortunate she stayed loyal after the torture. I'm not a fan, by the way. I wish you'd told me you captured her, I'd have stopped them from doing this to her," the older answers. "It was a pretty risky move that cost us a lab."

"Yeah well, pretty sure she hates me for that. No big deal," the younger shrugs.

"You never know until you ask. Ah, speaking of asking... have you located Radwave yet? I was hoping..." the older questions.

"Sure, sure, that was done earlier. Forgot to file a report I guess. Why, you want I should send someone over there?" the younger asks.

"I was actually hoping you'd use your Wormhole to go in and out. I think there's been quite enough bloodshed over one boy, yes?" the older requests.

"Aww man, really? I mean I guess I'm out of money and I could use some more iTunes cards to pull, there's that new gacha character I want and a couple games to preorder... uuugh but I doubt they'll just hand him over, you know?" the younger one complains.

"Take an empty Glaive with you and make the standard offer. You never know. I trust you to handle it, I have to go make sure The Muse is doing well. It worked a lot better than I expected," the older teen smiles, happily.

"Yeah yeah. I'm on it. You owe me one," the younger teen sighs.

"Two if you'd like," the older one beams.
