Dear Diary, Sep 24 1913

"It's been a while, hasn't it? My foray out into the other Earths has been... not as successful as I'd hoped. The chaotic situations out there are much less comfortable than the stability of the solar system. Some interesting stuff found!"

"My experiment in causing an incident was a partial success. That, and wandering around, have found some interesting people."

"Twice now I have encountered a strange spirit of the hunt. I wish that mother had been more forthcoming as to the location of all of her books, as this 'Tirsiak' seems like something she would be interested in. They don't appear to have any motivations beyond their natural existence, and I can safely write them off as a threat to my plans, but one that I could keep an eye on to learn more about spirits. She is very strong, as well, able to fight off two skilled fighters."

"One of the worlds I have encountered seems to have some kind of licensing system for heroes, instead of our current vigilanteism. I don't know if this is one where they are given free reign, but so far this 'Deku' has shown some powerful potential and great speed and strength, but is impulsive. The girls that follow him around, one with an antigravity power and another with jumping abilities, are also untried and learning. They seem to focus on saving people instead of being more aggressive. I wish more heroes were like that, but we will see how they mature. I have little faith they will stay that way."

"The mercenary Temulin is a meddler with some kind of darkness-fueled swordsmanship. She could be a problem, and I should investigate further."

"I have yet to catch the name of the one using some kind of puppet to attack, but he also seems like a mercenary. Possible problem, but unlikely to hold a personal grudge? Find out more."

"A young lady about my own age claims to have a Hero disease, but her abilities are immature and unformed, aside from a remarkable speed. She is accompanied by some kind of animal, that advises her. Keep an eye on her to see if she becomes a threat."

"Luke Gray is an interesting one. Very young, but helpful and commanding of strange beasts. He seems not very aggressive."

"There was another meddler there, some kind of magician advising Deku. Motives unknown, but I got the impression of great magical power."

"Another girl without any particular powers was attempting to help. I believe she has a case of hero worship. Should speak to her."

"The woman called 'Athena' is dangerous, but I am having a hard time grasping her abilities. She fought against my creation well, but naming herself after the goddess of war makes it natural to seek out such conflict. She was merciless in striking down-"

Justine pauses, reaching for some kind of memory as everything in her mind becomes jumbled. It was Athena who destroyed the bear, wasn't it? But that was a sword, not the improvised weapons Athena used. Is there some gap in her memory?

She scratches out part of the last line.

    "Investigate this."

A confused scribble writes a quick glyph upon the page.
