Mission Analysis

"Destruction of Egg Pawn 30-C confirmed, Doctor."

Eggman looked up from his workbench towards the red orb-shaped robot, then nodded his head. "Good. That's all of them?" Orbot nodded. "Good. Wouldn't want any of them to try to make their way back here. That might be... inconvenient.

"Egg Pawn 30C sent a video feed before its destruction. Shall I show it on the monitor?" Orbot asked.

Eggman considered for a while, then put down his soldering iron and stretched. "No. No, just add it to the archives. We'll analyse it later. More importantly, have you been scanning the media coverage of the incident?"

Orbot pressed a few buttons on his control panel and brought a news report up on the large central monitor. "Yes Doctor. Most news outlets are referring to you as 'Doctor Eggman', of course. Some suspect you may be an agent of some powerful country although most seem to have taken your declaration at face value." Eggman steepled his hands and smirked. "Many are writing you off as a dangerous, incompetent lunatic, however."

Eggman froze. "How dare thet sully the name of-"

A yellow cuboid robot raised its hand. "I thought thatw as the point, Doc?" Eggman paused, then took a deep breath.

"...Right. Right you are, Cubot. Make the fools underestimate me. But, really, did they have to call me 'incompetent'? Those robots were works of art!" Grumbling, Eggman paced the room. "...What about our other objectives?"

"Combat data analysis is ongoing, Doctor, but we have managed to gather some incredibly interesting data. And that data pad 'Mister Tenno' gave you have actually proven to be something of a boon."

Eggman smirked, approaching a glass tube sat in the wall of the workshop. Inside, a metal endoskeleton floated within a clear fluid. The endoskeleton was only about a meter tall, with an oddly elongated snout, and wickedly sharp metal claws on its fingers. "...Good. Mission accomplished, then."
