Ash has been teleported without warning before. Usually it left him feeling disoriented because sudden changes in pressure, elevation, gravity, and whatnot causes merry havoc with one's inner ear not to mention the whole 'suddenly not where you were half a moment ago.'

This was diffrent. In that moment between Here and There Ash could feel the absolute Starless Black Raven had wrapped the group in to speed their escape from the catacombs beneath the pyramid tomb. In that impossible moment between moments there was a voice, inhuman and eldritch that spoke from within this Void.

'Hey Kiddo.'

And then Here was There and Ash was back in real-space where Matter, Time, and all that fun-ness associated with reality existed.
