An opinion piece that aired on WRON Channel 7 on a specific Earth. The speaker is an older man, in a sharp business suit, sitting at a news desk.
"Outworlders. We're told by our governments not to worry, that they have things well in hand. That they're not really a threat. That they're like us, but from different worlds and variations of our world. As you are undoubtedly aware, our great city's Thanksgiving Day Parade was disrupted by outworlders who are clearly not so benign. Fifteen dead, hundreds hospitalized."
At this point, stitched-together cell phone footage is shown of a pachirisu parade balloon that's been possessed by something stomping around calling itself Mardok. "If this continues, they'll throw our world into utter chaos. Families won't be safe. Monsters will openly roam the streets doing as they please."
The camera cuts back to the old man. "The mayor is holding a town hall meeting this Wednesday to discuss the issue. I implore you all to be there and let both the mayor and the city council know that they must do something about the outworlder menace. I'm Andrew Bryant, and you're watching WRON 7. Thank you."
The ghost speaks to the young girl, the occult space littered with symbols and artifacts that were old when the great civilization of Egypt was young. "The Trimegustus are playing their hand, Metallia."
"My name's Aurelia, not Metallia." The girl says automatically.
