Meanwhile

Back on Earth, 2B stood at the edge of a pier, staring off into the distance. The slosh of the crystal clear waters beneath the aging wood and stone barely reached the android as she remained lost in thought.
"CATCH RECIEVED." Her pod suddenly exclaims, floating up from where she had thrown it into the water, clutching a squirming fish in its grip claws.
"So, 2B, why do you do this again? This 'fishing' thing?' 9S asks from where he's settled, sitting on the edge of the dock, bare feet swirling idle circles in the water.
"Stop doing that." 2B quickly chides him. "You'll scare the fish away. And I find it relaxing."
"Oh," he says going still. Before a frown forms on the android's youthful features.
    "--2B, I'm getting a reading. It's a huge concentration of Machine Lifeforms!"
In an instant, the combat android and her partner scanner reach for their blades as the fog rolls in... And with it comes the barge. A rusty, barnacle-clad, vessel; slowly approaching from the horizon. And on it come the machines...
    "..."
    "...?"
The androids are left staring for a moment, at what they see; machines of all types and sizes... Clad in desert rags, heroic capes, villainous domino masks... Cowboy hats and wizard robes, and scrap armor plating, they come sailing in on the mist.
And sitting on the head of one of the larger machines is none other than Emily Nyx, grinning ear to ear, Lunar Tear emblazoned superhero cloak, cowboy hat, and Machine Lifeform torso with a vaguely tiny-robot-themed design painted on it.
"Hi, guys! You would not believe the kind of month I've had."
    "..."
    "..."
2B and 9S are stone silent as they stiffly turn their heads to look at one another.
"Uhhhh... M... Maybe if we ignore it, this can be someone else's problem." 9S suggests.
The PLUNK of 2B's Pod hitting the water splashes down a little too loudly as the Battle unit heaves a legendary sigh and just resumes fishing.
