Benedicta was having trouble sleeping after the encounter the previous night. The fact there was still a ringing sound in her ears didn't help matters either. While they managed to get Mephy back to Sunset Road it seems likely they had ran into another roadblock. The raptor woman from a few years ago before returned out of seemingly nowhere and was looking for the magical imp.

As the al'miraj girl dug through Beacon Society archives for any information on her Benedicta had wondered what happened to her. She didn't seem to be too much of a threat when they first met with during the incident with the grendels. It took her a few searches through the database to turn up anything on her at all. From what little Benedicta was able to find it turns out that she was a Cabal loyalist known as Dolce who had powerful sound magic.

That explained why she refused Benedicta's help but not why she joined the Cabal to begin with. Mephy might be able to be able to provide more information but she knew couldn't trust him. Shield-Maiden certainly had connections but that would mean likely getting Sybil involved as well. She wasn't quite sure how much Baroness Spider remembered after being freed from Dr.Worm's influence. Benedicta rather avoid Uncle Slug and who knew what Heartbreaker would ask for exchange for her help if she knew anything. Benedicta's mind drifted as she fell asleep at the keyboard it seems like the long day had finally caught up with her.
