Overview

Humanity has finally discovered life outside of the Earth. Unfortunately this discovery was made by the Life Foundation while searching for habitable worlds to colonize, and they want to exploit these new symbiotic life forms. However even after initial setbacks, and their CEO dead, they still exist not necessarily as a threat, but are more than happy to do horrible things all in the name of profit. This on top of other companies wishing to exploit anything and anyone around them, some presenting a false humility, while others don't bother acting friendly.

There is more out there in the stars. Other worlds. Other civilizations. Humanity has gotten a peek at what this wider universe has to offer and has discovered it is a scary place full of wonder and horror.

For the people of Earth, though, the often immorality of corporate entities and criminal enterprises are starting to be tolerated to an extent because of the sudden realization theirs is one universe among many. So as long as these 'undesirable' elements don't flaunt their immorality they are allowed to exist. After all 'they might help protect us' or more often 'we have bigger problems to worry about.' This dynamic changes if a light is shown on those that abuse the system, but even if it is confined to the shadows, there is a war the Multiverse has kicked off.
Symbiotes

Blob-like entities that can bond with compatible organisms for nutrition and in exchange can enhance the host by giving them greater strength, durability, and other improvements. Most taken from the comet that the Life Foundation landed on view the relationship of Host and Symbiote as one where the Symbiote is in control. However some believe in a more mutualistic relationship but are a vanishing minority. They have a near universal weakness to high pitched sound and fire.

Life Foundation

Originally a company that specialized in outfitting the wealthy and elite with reinforced doomsday bunkers, they have since branched out into genetics, robotics, space, and other forms of 'enhancing the human condition.' All for a fee of course.

OOC Notes: Available Characters

Because of the current as of this time deal between Sony and Marvel gives Marvel the rights to Spiderman but seems to leave most of the rest of the supporting cast in limbo? It would seem fair that this universe will mostly consist of characters or concepts first introduced in Spiderman comics or related spin-off works. However as it is still a Marvel property, Characters like Tony Stark, Nick Fury, S.H.I.E.L.D. etc likely still exist in some form or another (such as Stark Industries existing, but Tony Stark not being Ironman, or SHIELD being a cross-national counter-terrorist/peacekeeping group, but don't have helicarriers and so forth.)
