Overview

The world of Hunter x Hunter is a world with modern technology and near-Earth politics, with a hidden society known as the Hunter Association that tests, trains, and organises those with the potential to tap into one's own lifeforce to perform superhuman feats. This life force is called Nen, which allows its user to, with training, gain superhuman strength, speed, perception, endurance, and shrug off even heavy weapons depending on the user's ability and personal traits. Advanced nen users develop a unique ability based on their desires and personality ranging energy blasts, creating fortune-telling spirits, or conjuring metaphysical chains all with their own power-enhancing conditions or restrictions. It's a world of adventure, discovery, greed, and conflict.
