Overview

The World of Titans has no human inhabitants. It is instead populated by monsters of varying clans. Monsters are born with human-like features, but they eventually fledge, shedding those features for a more inhuman form. Although most clans are fairly insular, there are smaller towns such as Lantana and Ipey which promote trade between the clans and are home to a wide variety of inhabitants.

Perhaps the most visibly unique part of the world is the Titans, enormous living dungeons which wander the land. Deep within each Titan is the Arc, a shrine to the goddess Clunea. It is said that any who are able to find their way to the Arc and pass the Titan's trial will be granted any one wish from Clunea.

However, the Titans are dangerous places. Not only are they filled with traps of all sorts, but the very nature of a Titan can negatively influence the mental state of those who enter. Most who enter a Titan with self-centered wishes in their hearts will find that emotion multiplied, greed growing and mental state degrading until they think of no one but themselves. Before long, many explorers are reduced to mindless, vicious beings, attacking any who they believe might keep them from their wish. Soon, even the wish is forgotten, leaving aggressive beasts as another line of defense inside the Titan.

Few have returned from entering a Titan, and fewer still have successfully made a wish. Most of the inhabitants choose to live their lives without even trying to conquer a Titan, but sometimes bravery and desire or desperation counteract caution, sending more to try their hand at gaining a wish from the goddess Clunea.

Now that the land is linked to the World Tree, the town of Lantana has become an even bigger hub of commerce. The residents have been eager to make new connections with other worlds, even if many of them seem to be inhabited by a strange new monster called 'human.' Word of the Titans may soon spread, drawing in hopeful adventurers and opportunists alike, but the living dungeons remain dangerous places to enter, even to outsiders.
Lantana

Lantana is a small town in a forested area. It is centrally located to most of the Clans' homes, making it a hub for commerce as well as a common place for would-be adventurers to meet. This applies even more now that the World Tree is accessible and Lantana has become the gateway, both physically and commercially, to the outside world.

Important establishments in Lantana:

Hebalon Cottage: An inn run by a cheerful marionette named Niiya. His rates are quite reasonable considering it's the only inn for miles. His sister Neeya is skilled in healing and offers her services to any who are seriously wounded or debilitated on their journeys.

Tarnished Goblet: A tavern that is also home to the adventurer's guild. Quests are given out for specific items or other work. It is run by Mireille, a fairy who is fond of teasing her customers and enjoys gossip.

Sakalla Sundries: A shop carrying weapons, armor, and all sorts of items useful for adventurers. It is run by Amo, a mummy who loves hearing about his customers' exploits.

Garnet's Crafts: An apothecary run by Garnet, a nekomata who specializes in alchemy. She is always on the lookout for new ingredients for her potions just to see what they mix together to form.

Wishes

While the legends of the Titans are well known, not just anyone will get very far through a Titan, let alone get to the deepest part of its Ark to make a wish. While anyone may enter a Titan, there are locked doors within which can only be opened with keys obtained in the Temple of Trials. Many adventurers have been turned back from the depths of a Titan upon finding they have no way to proceed, and most of them end up lost and wandering the dungeon until their mind degrades to that of a beast.

If one is able to pass through the trials of the Titan, into the Ark, and to the altar of Clunea, one wish is permitted. However, only one wish is permitted per Titan. Once a wish has been made inside a Titan, no wish will ever be granted there, making each massive dungeon useful only once. The fact that there are Titans which have not been wished on remaining speaks to how rare and difficult it is to earn one of these wishes.

Although these wishes are potent, they are still limited to the scope of the abilities of the goddess Clunea. Clunea may be extremely powerful, but this power is limited to the scope of the World of Titans. One may wish for the strongest sword in the World of Titans, but not for the strongest sword of all the World Tree. One may wish for someone to be brought back from the dead, but only if the subject is in the World of Titans.

Poorly-worded wishes may be interpreted as Clunea sees fit, though she is not a fickle deity who tries to trick those who come to her.

Once a wish is made, whether or not the wish is possible, no more wishes can ever be made at that Titan. Adventurers are cautioned to think carefully, for an impossible wish will still be considered as a wish having been used there.

OOC notes: Attempts to conquer the Titans and get wishes will only be made as parts of TPs. Because of the very limited nature, they will not happen often. However, any adventurers may enter a Titan in search of treasure, battle, or just to explore it. The adventurer's guild in Lantana often gives rewards for specific duties. However, many of the deeper floors are more difficult to access.
