Overview

A version of Earth where during World War II the Nazi super science division known as HYDRA discovered an ancient artifact known as the Tesseract... This Earth would eventually, due to interference from otherworldly gods, aliens, and other universal forces, become embroiled in a galaxy spanning war against a mad Titan in search of the power of the mysterious and powerful Infinity Stones.

Currently it is the year 2011. The Avenger Initiative, a program backed by the government agency known as SHIELD, to gather super powered individuals for the common goal of protecting the Earth has just been formed. But the Avengers have a lot of work ahead of them if they hope to have any chance of stopping Thanos from his universal quest of destruction.
