Overview

    A world very similar to early 21st-century Earth, right down to similar cultures and languages and even largely similar history. Minor differences exist, most in the recent past with some different technology and a slightly more advanced tech base in most nations, to the point of many countries possessing a budding space program.

    Another difference is the secret organizations in the background. VILE, the Villains' International League of Evil, seeks power and wealth through any means necessary, while the secret organization of ACME, the Agency to Classify and Monitor Evildoers, works as an international secret spy organization to contain these efforts, all while most of the world remains ignorant.

    With the coming of the Vines, the various nations have split on how to handle the newcomers and the expanded world, with some sealing up their borders in xenophobia, and others seeing new trade and tourism opportunities. The worst part is how ACME has been required to expand operations, since during the coming of the Vines, many of the captured VILE leaders have escaped out to the Tree, trying to secure a powerbase and eying valuables on other worlds to help them...
