Overview

San Fransokyo was born out of a fusion of San Francisco and Tokyo after a massive earthquake destroyed San Francisco a long time ago. The city was rebuilt using both Japanese and American building techniques combining architecture and cultural facets of both to make one high tech city that truly defines what happens when East meets West. Existing in a world that is decidedly 'futuristic' in both concept and design, San Fransokyo may prove to be a crowning jewel of a new age, a Future Age.

The technological marvels of San Fransokyo have been opened even wider due to the city's recent acquisition of the ability of dimensional travel. The eyes of great scientists and futurists were opened to the possibility of life beyond their own dimensional limitations when someone cracked the code to their reality. This opened a path between San Fransokyo and a greater Metaverse.

Krei Tech Industries was one of the first corporations to open their doors to this new and exciting venture. By building and creating access ports in an effort to monetize the travel between San Fransokyo and the outside Metaverse, Krei Tech has almost cornered the market on all trade in and out of San Fransokyo. While there are smaller companies, educational facilities and even some civilian ways to access the wider Metaverse, Krei Tech led the way. Special government laws have been put in place to protect San Fransokyo, as well as a government task force (using Krei Tech weapons and technology) to police the comings and goings of visitors to their newly Blossomed world.

Of course, as with everything, there are underworld access points and backdoors through the dark recesses of San Fransokyo. Just as much as the world has been Blossomed and awakened to new ideals the city of San Fransokyo has also opened itself up to unwanted threats and those that may seek to capitalize on the city's advanced technology. Certainly, there are organizations and criminals within the city limits that will be more than happy to use these new resources for their own selfish ends.

As a whole, San Fransokyo welcomes the new challenges and visitors with open arms. There's a learning curve, as there always is, but San Fransokyo's confident in their ability to protect themselves, their technology and they look forward to reaching new heights of discovery in the years to come.
