Overview

A world of magic, martial arts, and mysticism, this is the seventh of 12 universes. Filled with planets all with a multitude of life and adventure, the focus of most stories takes place on a little blue world in the far reaches of a particular galaxy, hidden away in the backwaters from most dangers that are not local. Earth is a wondrous place filled with all manner of people living their lives typically with no great concern for anything dangerous that could challenge their peaceful days. Within the cities of the massive single continent that makes up this world, life is a hustle and bustle but generally safe and plentiful. Ruled over by a world government under the watchful eye of King Furry, the people of the cities have little to fear for the most part.

Beyond city limits, the world is wild and untamed. Farmers and small villages are common, some with a more modern sense about them but just as often with feudal rule under tyrants who think themselves separate from the world government. Wildlife both mundane and fantastic roam the land and masters of magic and martial arts harness forces beyond the ken of most, while dangerous bandits prey on unsuspecting travelers. The greatest of these fighters gather once a year on Papaya Island to take part in the Tenkaichi Budokai--the Strongest Under the Heavens Martial Arts Tournament.

Beyond the material world lies the Other World, composed of such wonderful places as the Demon Realm, Hell, and Heaven, as well as the homes of the divine Kaio, Kaioshin and Hakaishin.

And in the material universe, throughout space, the majority of it is held under the jackbooted heel of King Cold and his family in the form of an empire known as the Planet Trade Organization.
Timeline

Currently the world is at the beginning of Age 753 heading toward the 22nd Tenkaichi Budokai. While certain minor events have taken place, the largest world event to be publicly known at this time is the complete collapse of the Red Ribbon Army in Age 750.

Divergence

The events of this world follow the canon timeline point for point until Age 739 when Frieza destroys Planet Vegeta. At this point, instead of Kakarot being sent to Earth, it is the older Vegeta that is sent into space to escape the clutches of Frieza. When he lands on Earth it is the Crane Hermit that finds him, taking him in and making him a member of the Crane School. Needless to say, it is unlikely that things follow the same timeline the original canon does once Vegeta shows up.
