Overview

    In a universe filled with countless stars there exists The Light... The Traveler, a mysterious and enigmatic galactic entity once travelled from star to star, bringing life to dead worlds, terraforming inhospitable planets, and uplifting civilizations from barbarism to enlightenment.

    The Traveler is dead. Giving up the very light within it to save a small blue world known as Earth from its great enemy, the Traveler defeated that enemy and brought forth the Guardians. Bringing soldiers and heroes of the past back from the dead and granting them superhuman powers, the Guardians were meant to take over where the Traveler could no longer protect the people of the small blue world that it had chosen to receive its gifts.

    Though that great enemy was defeated, much of the world was left inhospitable and dangerous; occupied by aliens and foes that had come violently seeking the Traveler's gifts. Mankind was forced to construct a great wall and one final bastion for humanity beneath the shadow of the Traveler. The Guardians fought many difficult battles, but now it finally seems as though peace has come for the people of The Last City on Earth.

    Destiny 2, If ever apped beyond the status of a Bud will be set after the events of Destiny 1, and just before the Cabal invasion of The Last City, that sets off the events of the game.
