World: Star Wars: Linked Destinies-1
Voice Actor: Helen Sadler (ENG) & Nana Mizuki (JPN)

Overview

A Jedi Knight, part of the monastic order of sages and wielders of a mystic power known as the Force, Talia Kyras was trained from a young age as a diplomat and warrior to defend the innocent. She came to develop a strong sense of justice, and a dislike of political interference that hamstrung the Jedi Order, wanting to help people that were overwise written off as 'inconvenient' to help in the Outer Rim planets. Talia is honorable and fearless, willing to throw her life away to protect the innocent. The sole survivor of a bloody mission that ended in failure, Talia is still haunted by her failure to save her companions. Wielding a laser sword and mental abilities, Talia's skills are considerable. With a ship and a loyal astromech droid companion, she travels the galaxy to right wrongs and stop her nemesis Darth Angither. Her struggles with the Jedi Code leave her torn between the path of peace and compassion, and avenging her fallen friends.

Perks

An elegant weapon: Talia's lightsaber can cut through things and deflect energy bolts.
The lightsaber is an energy sword used by the Jedi order and Talia's weapon of choice, a fearsome and distinctive weapon that can cut through solid matter and deflect energy bolts from blaster weapons. She is an adept swordsman from her training, and combat experience has only honed her skills in the lightsaber combat forms.

Paragon's Legacy: This courier starship has a medbay, lasers, and FTL travel.
A Corellian freighter, Talia's starship is her home and transport. It's a worn but reliable cargo hauler that she has fitted with a medical bay for healing injuries, laser cannons for defense, and a hyperdrive that lets her go from world to world with faster-than-light travel. She has light armor but good mobility, meaning a talented pilot can outmaneuver larger threats no problem. The medbay is equipped with a vat full of healing liquid called bacta, which can speed the repair of damaged tissue from burns to stabs and bullet wounds.

So Uncivilized: Talia also has skills in hand-to-hand, blades, and blaster firearms.
Life in the Outer Rim is rough and dangerous, and Talia's had to play the role of a courier, smuggler, or mercenary. Weapons that shoot energy bolts called 'blasters' are the common weapon of the galaxy. As a result, she's learned how to use the blaster pistol and blade to reasonable effectiveness, as well as relying on staves and polearms, and knows martial arts takedowns. Unlike most Jedi, Talia tends to keep a blaster on her even when openly dressed in Jedi robes.

Mechanic: Talia is an amateur mechanic who can fix engines and machinery.
One tends to pick up tricks when travelling the galaxy, and Talia learned to fix machinery on speeders and ships whenever transports were damaged. While not a professional in any way, she can handle tools and fix any wear and tear on her ship with ND-77's assistance. She can repair and hotwire engines as well as patch holes on vehicles.
[Expand]
Force Telekinesis: Talia has the power to levitate and throw items and briefly create barriers.
With the power of the Force, Talia can use telekinetic abilities to reach for items that cannot be taken with her hands normally, or hurl them great distances and levitate them. Such things can be as big as an automobile if she focuses hard enough, though large objects will put a strain on her body if she pushes herself. Her reach with the Force amounts to about twenty feet or so.
[Expand]
Jedi Mind Powers: Talia is able to sense emotions, and impress simple commands on weak minds.
Talia is able to sense the feelings and moods of other beings. She cannot read minds like a traditional telepath, but she can however impart 'commands' to those with weaker mental defenses. These commands are uncomplicated, and will be accepted as common sense such as allowing someone entry based on a faked signature, or calming an animal. She can't control how complex orders are interpreted, the simpler being easier for them.
[Expand]
Force Echoes: Talia can sense events and feelings tied to objects.
A rare technique, Talia is able to sense events and emotions tied to objects. Such items include favoured weapons, prized drinking cups, or even dead bodies. This however has the risk of overtaking Talia with emotional strife, especially if the item was used to commit murder, or the body itself was victim of murder.
[Expand]
Physical Peak: Talia is swift, agile, strong, and has superhuman reflexes.
Through a mixture of the Force enhancing her abilities and intensive physical training, Talia has slightly above peak physical conditioning as a Jedi. Swift and nimble, she can carry out feats of agility like scrambling from platform to platform. She is also rather physically strong as well, at her physical peak. Her reflexes are off the charts thanks to Jedi Precognition, allowing her to predict enemy actions ahead of time.

NPCs

[Expand]
ND-77< F-Tier Named E-Tier >: Talia's astromech droid can shoot, repair, and hack computers.
ND-77 is an astromech droid with a sour attitude, but she is a reliable companion for a spacer. She has a variety of tools that let her repair the ship, and also has a slicing tool that lets her hack devices such as computers and acquire data. However, her options for defense are limited to a shock-prod and a holdout blaster.

Complications

[Expand]
Rebellious Streak: Talia has some resentment towards authority.
Tired of the corruption and inaction of the Republic Senate and the Jedi Council, Talia decided to remain in the Outer Rim where the fighting was thickest. She bears some resentful feelings towards authority, and will often do things her own way if it suits her, even if she gets in trouble for bending some rules here and there.
[Expand]
Survivor's Guilt: Talia's heartache manifests through a martyr complex
Betrayed and alone, Talia saw her comrades die at Darth Angither's hands. She seeks to avenge them even if it means her death, having gained something of a martyr complex. This can manifest in the form of risking herself to protect the innocent, even getting involved may invite catastrophe.
[Expand]
Jedi Code: Talia struggles between acting for the greater good and personal interests.
A Jedi never seeks vengeance and doesn't seek attachment, and yet Talia's emotional issues stem from the loss of her friends and desire to avenge them. The Jedi code and her personal feelings are at odds, forcing her to struggle choosing between acting in the interests of those she cares for and the greater good, even if it means sacrificing her friends.
[Expand]
Phobia: Bugs: Talia is unsettled by insectoid life forms, verging on fear.
