Overview

The half-breed son of a mortal woman and the Dark Knight Sparda, Dante takes up his father's legacy in defending mankind from the demonic hordes that plague it across the world and beyond. A master swordsman and gunfighter, the son of Sparda has powers that rival that of his father that range from superhuman physical prowess to tapping into his demonic side briefly. Hunting demons across the globe, Dante will take any job that pertains to the paranormal, sometimes forgoing payment on a whim in spite of the debts he builds through sheer property damage alone. He might seem like an apathetic partygoing jock, but Dante is secretly a man of deep strength of character as he carries on his crusade against the Hellish hordes he faces, seeking both justice and vengeance against them. Flamboyant and playful by nature, Dante is nevertheless not an enemy to underestimate. He isn't so much a warrior in attitude as he's a rock star, always relishing the chance to test his mettle against the forces of darkness whether for coin or thrills.

Perks

[Expand]
Swordmaster: Dante has skill in swords, hand-to-hand, and other melee weaponry.
Dante, taking after his father, is a master swordsman. Besides the use of swords ranging from dual blades to greatswords, he's also an adept hand-to-hand combatant with many forms of martial arts as well as figuring out slowly how to put a scythe/guitar thing to use in actual combat. Slowly. He's a damn good guitarist, though.
[Expand]
Devil Arms: Sword, guns, electric guitar/scythe, fire/wind blades, ice nunchucks.
Dante's collection of weaponry is fairly vast in number and variety. His go-to for most occassions is the greatsword Rebellion, a massive blade handed down from Sparda himself. He also never leaves home without his twin custom .45 pistols, Ebony and Ivory. They're hard-hitting, fast firing sidearms built for Dante's use, and never run out of ammo thanks to magical enhancements. He also has a custom sawn-off shotgun called Coyote for more punch and spread. Other weapons consist of the wind and fire blades Agni and Rudra, and the electric guitar/scythe (Seriously) Nevan that summons hordes of electric projectiles shaped like bats, as well as tri-nunchucks that have the power of ice, called Cerberus.
[Expand]
Son of Sparda: Superhuman strength, agility, speed, limited healing.
Half-demon, half-human, Dante possesses the strengths of his father Sparda. Dante can call upon superhuman strength and agility as well as a high pain and damage threshold from his demonic side, allowing him to carry impractically proportioned weaponry with little to no difficulty at all. Also, he can store weapons on his back somehow.
[Expand]
Devil Hunter: Decent working knowledge of demonology and the supernatural.
Dante has a decent working knowledge on the supernatural. He's experienced enough with trap-filed dungeons infested with monsters and madmen to know his way around, and is pretty hard to fool, in some cases working on a counter-trap of his own for whatever seductive power awaits him.
[Expand]
Devil Trigger< Edge >: Demon form, temporary power boost, flight, and regen. Difficult to control.
Dante's demonic side is normally subdued deep within. When he needs his power boosted, he calls upon a 'Devil Trigger' and his form shifts to a demonically corrupted one temporarily. Here, his already impressive speed and strength are boosted and any injuries he suffers will be knitted together. He also gains the power of flight due to sprouting wings from his back. However, afterwards he'll need a breather by the time the Devil Trigger wears off.
[Expand]
Trickster: Short-range teleportation, used for maneuverability during battle.
Calling upon the power of the Trickster Style, Dante can use short-range teleportation that allow him to outmaneuver enemies and evade their attacks with blinding speed, leaving a red streak where he stood before.
[Expand]
Elemental Attacks: Dante's devil arms consist of light, fire and wind, ice, and electricity.
Dante's Devil Arms each bear a specific element. The twin brother-swords Agni and Rudra wield the power of flame and wind respectively, each combining into a firestorm quicker than the human eye can predict, and the succubus Nevan empowers a guitar-scythe (I did not stutter) with electricity manifested into balls of energy or spectral bats.
[Expand]
Gunslinger: Skills with pistols, rifles, and shotguns.
Dante possesses an uncanny skill with firearms ranging from pistols to shotguns and rifles. His preferences tend to be a sawed-off shotgun and his custom handguns Ebony and Ivory, as they're enchanted to withstand his might as well as allow him to channel his powers into firing them for limitless ammunition in theory. His skills allow him to carry out ricochets, pinpoint accurate shots on the fly, and lining up enemies with one shot.
[Expand]
Royal Guard: Dante can briefly block and defend against most attacks.
With superhuman reflexes and demonic powers, Dante can in the blink of an eye deflect most attacks ranging from physical strikes, blasts of energy, and projectiles with ease. There's a brief window for this however, and requires the utmost focus, often forcing Dante to fight more defensively.

Complications

[Expand]
Family Issues: Reacts badly when demonic heritage is brought up.
Dante lost his family at a young age, and generally is hesitant to answer questions about who they were or where he came from. Insults about them, especially Eva, will set Dante off, as will anybody who tries to steal the amulet she gave him when he was a child. When the family button is hit, one sees a darker, angrier side of the Son of Sparda not many get to experience for good reason.
[Expand]
Goofball: Slight manchild, has a hard time taking things seriously.
Dante is something of a party animal on the surface, more concerned with pizza and booze than any real issues cropping up unless it winds up interrupting his partying. It's possible this is something of a stepford situation, where he plays the fool on the surface while concealing serious issues deep down. This is partly true, as Dante throws out smartassed remarks as naturally as breathing. He loves to rile people up, and sometimes can get in trouble with his teasing when fighting or dealing with sensitive scenarios.
[Expand]
Collateral: WILL break stuff if fights happen, or just in general.
Dante has a tendency to cause insane levels of property damage, even his own property will be broken often. TV remotes, jukeboxes, motorcycles, even doors aren't safe from him as he makes as loud an impression as possible. It's given him a nasty debt to pay off over the years, as well as a shaky reputation as an irresponsible daredevil who's more of a threat than the demons he hunts.
[Expand]
Gamble: Dante has a tendency to make huge gambles that can backfire.
Dante has a tendency of letting things play out just to see if they go in his favor, from actively throwing himself into a trap for the hell of it to allowing the enemy to acquire a macguffin just to try and get some kind of advantage later. This can easily backfire in his face and he knows it, yet he will always roll the dice even at the risk of his own safety.
