Overview

Vergil is one of two of the half-breed sons of a Mortal Woman named Eva and the Demon, the Dark Knight Sparda. Seeking vengeance for his mother's death and his father's sacrifice, Vergil does whatever he must in order to attain more power, all while keeping the mortal and demon worlds separate. A master swordsman and martial artist, Vergil's own might rivals, if not outright surpasses that of his father's thanks to the lengths Vergil has gone to see it as such. Vergul hunts demons and takes names, though remains professional in all he does. Stoic and seemingly cold-hearted, Vergil possesses a strength of will far beyond human understanding as he seeks his justice against the demon hoards. A warrior of discipline and honor, Vergil will always rise to the challenge against the darkness that he himself resides.

Perks

[Expand]
Grandmaster Swordsman: Vergil has dedicated his life to mastering swordsmanship.
Vergil has dedicated his life to being a swordsman, like his father Sparda. He is skilled in every kind of sword known to man and demon alike, whether it's dual-wielding blades, using a greatsword, daggers, or knives, using his sword is Vergil's go-to method of combat in any situation. His most common sword style is extremely similar to the Iaijutsu Katana sword martial art. Vergil, all in all, is one of the greatest swordsmen alive.
[Expand]
Son of Sparda: Half Demon, Half Man. Stronger, Faster, tougher, and heals quick.
Vergil possesses the Half-Demon Strength of his father. He's FAR stronger than a regular human and can lift impossible amounts of weight. This strength allows him to wield ridiculously-sized or shaped weapons into battle with no effort. He's fast, able to move from one point to another as if in a blur, and is very strong. He's quite durable, able to take high-impact blows and still get up to swing, and he can also heal phenomenally quickly, able to recover from gunshots to the head or even beatdowns with just a few moments of rest. He cannot come back from the dead.
[Expand]
Devil Trigger< Edge >: A tranformation into Vergil's Demon Form. A boost in power, speed, and healing.
Vergil's demonic transformation that he usually keeps at bay. However, when the time calls for it, Vergil can transform into a boosted state called the 'Devil Trigger'. In this state, Vergil's strength and speed are given a phenomenal boost, and he will heal even mortal or deadly wounds in mere seconds. However, he can only maintain this transformation for a short time before he'll need some kind of brief rest when the transformation wears off.
[Expand]
Devil Arms: Enhanced Demonic Weapons. Namely a katana capable of ranged and close combat.
Vergil possesses a collection of demonic weaponry, though it's a small one at best. His main weapon is the Yamato, a Odachi Katana handed down as a keepsake from his father Sparda. The blade is razer sharp and can slice through the air so quickly that it can send a wave of wind that is sharp enough to chop most anything like butter. He also bears the gauntlet and greave combination that is known as Beowulf, that he uses for punches and kicks.
[Expand]
Elemental Strikes: Vergil's attacks can be charged by darkness, light, wind, and electricity.
The Yamato can perform attacks that are in the element-range of Darkness and Wind, which are charged to the Blade's edge for close ranged combat. Beowulf wields Light and Electricity based attacks that infuse the fists and feet with such energy according to the user's wishes.
[Expand]
Dark Slayer: A stance that grants short-range teleportation, enhanced maneuverability.
A style of combat completely unique to Vergil. With the Devil Slayer stance, Vergil can teleport short-distances in the blink of an eye in order to dodge attacks or outmaneuver his opponents. When in use of this, he leaves a blue streak that shows where he traveled and where he used to be.
[Expand]
Dimensional Travel: Using the Yamato, Vergil can slice open portals for long and short distances.
Vergil's main way of traveling. While using the Yamato, Vergil can pour his demonic energies into it to perform two slices, vertical and horizontal, and it will open a portal to where the user would like to go. However, this tends to take up a great deal of Vergil's energy, so in terms of practical use, Vergil can't do it repeatedly in short time frames. But, with this, it's also not very accurate. He can't be EXACTLY where he wants to go, only somewhat close to where he wants to go. Real or intense Security measures will also keep Vergil out due to the rules of this kind of magic. Vergil can take up to three people with him when he travels in this way, but it usually makes those inexperienced with this kind of travel feeling rather ill.
[Expand]
Sharpshooter: While Vergil does not like guns, he's very skilled with them.
While Vergil hates guns, he's very skilled with them and is willing to use them should the need arise. He almost never misses, and is capable of making shots that humans have very little chances of making. His skill rivals that of his brother, who's accuracy is famous.

Complications

[Expand]
Craves Power: Vergil will do anything if it means he'll have the chance to be stronger.
Vergil will do anything if it means he'll have the chance to be stronger. He's betrayed allies MANY times because of this, and on many occasions he's temporarily allied himself with demonkind. This is arguably Vergil's greatest flaw...because it's his obsession. He WILL have his justice, but he can't have that unless he has power.
[Expand]
Family Problems: Just don't mess with the family. Ever.
Just don't mess with the family. His mother was murdered, his dad sacrificed himself to save the world. His brother is constantly getting himself into danger. Mentioning familial problems when you're not family? Is a horrible mistake, and is by far the easiest way to make Vergil show a side of himself that should never be shown: Wrathful, enraged, and brutal.
[Expand]
Pompous: Vergil knows who he is, and thus tends to view himself as superior.
Vergil is the son of the Dark Knight Sparda. A hero of humanity and enemy of his demon brethren. Vergil holds himself in high regard, and tends to view humans and others as insignificant compared to him. Though Vergil doesn't lord himself over family and dear friends, it's still one of his negative character traits.
[Expand]
Manipulative: Vergil is manipulative and tends to lie often.
Vergil defers to lying, manipulation, and simply telling half-truths when telling the whole truth would be significantly easier for himself and others. It generally makes him seem largely untrustworthy.
