Overview
Adora is two people in one. Adora, the former Horde soldier and commander, raised from infancy to be a warrior in a regime of evil, now redeemed and having grown to be known for her kindness, loyalty and protective nature and She-Ra, the mythical Princess of Power, tasked with fighting evil and defending the weak. She is headstrong and brave, foolhardy and friendly. Willing to give others the benefit of the doubt and yet equally willing to use force, fighting as a warrior and a soldier when things call for it,. A beacon of hope and courage, Adora has grown greatly from the darkness from which she was raised. As She-Ra she is strong, fast and incredibly durable. Armed with the Sword of Power, she cuts through steel and fires blasts of pure light to shatter defenses. She lifts tanks over her head and is hardy enough to take missiles to the face. She-Ra is intended to be a beacon of hope and heroics, a champion of the people and protector of the innocent wherever she may find them.
Perks
Princess of Power: She can transform into She-Ra. A titan of justice, strong, fast, tough.
By uttering the words For the Honor of Greyskull Adora and become She-Ra. As She-Ra she grows form 5'7" to nearly 7' in height, corded with muscles. Superhumanly strong enough to lift tanks over her head with one hand and toss them over the horizon effortlessly. She can kick foes -through- steel walls and tear metal doors open with her bare hands. The form adds supernatural speed and dexterity. Her durability is also greatly increased beyond that of a human being; Heavy blasters, missiles, super punches and the like scuff her and bruise her, but not much more. While in this form she also heals at about 5x the normal human speed. She can stay as She-Ra indefinitely at this point, but prefers to live as Adora.
Sword of Power: Can create a magical, transforming weapon that shoots lasers.
The Sword was once a physical blade that she used to channel her power. It was destroyed, however, and she eventually learned to control her powers without it. She now manifests the blade as a preferred weapon from her energy aura. It can cut through steel and special alloys, fire beams of energy capable of rupturing the same, and deliver stun blasts if need be. She does not need to be transformed into She-Ra to manifest the sword. The weapon can also take on other forms and shapes, becoming other simple weapons as needed such as a staff, shield, spear etc, but she tends to prefer its traditional shape.
Trained Warrior: Trained from infancy in combat using a variety of weapons and tactics.
She was trained in multiple fighting styles as a Horde soldier from infancy, and has continued to train and develop practical experience in the years of battle since. She can wield many melee weapons quite effectively, though she favors a sword. Finally, she is very capable with blasters and rifles, as it was the weapon of choice for her regiment. She is not an expert sniper, but as adept as a trained riflewoman.
Inspiring Words: She knows how to raise people up with words.
Adora is charismatic. She can be awkward and unsure sometimes, but when it comes down to it she is a symbol of hope to many. She knows what to say to lift people out of despair and give them hope. Many a soldier has been roused to action and following Adora into battle by her words and many more civilians in her homeworld given hope by her being there.
NPCs
Swiftwind <D-tier Named>: A flying, talking pegacorn! Adora's mount!
Swiftwind began as a normal horse that Adora encountered when she was first brought to Bright Moon. Infused with magical energy transformed him into a bonded and loyal, brave steed for She-Ra. Swiftwind means well and can fly amazingly fast as a means of transportation even if he never really shuts up and he can be a bit over the top excitable.
Complications
Dutiful: She takes her duty to protect those in need and fight evil seriously.
Adora dearly wants to live up to her role as champion and protector, to the point that she tends to put aside her own wants and needs to do so. When attempting to do this she will throw herself into danger when it would make more sense to withdraw and rest. This means she's often the last to leave the battlefield, and is the type to hold out while others escape. Her sense of justice and unwavering fairness can also get on people's nerves and interfere with tasks that require a more compromising viewpoint.
Direct: She will usually default to forthright ways of handling things.
She is not someone who gleefully hurts others, or who finds sadistic joy in violence. However, she grew up around violence, and she often leans towards force to handle a lot of situations and protect others. She can be talked down and isn't useless at diplomacy, but after years of war and her upbringing she readily leaps to combat first if it seems necessary.
Glitch and Hacking: Certain tech can temporarily corrupt her senses and awareness
While standard computers or wireless hacking doesn't pose any threat. There have been various forms of First One's tech that interferes with her power and has driven her briefly to violent, cackling madness, savagery or seeming drunkenness. She has since discovered that similar technology in the hands of some of the evil forces out there have similar effects. It is curable with the right tech, but usually fades after a period of time, or once she awakens from being knocked out (like a hard reset). Generally she is still discovering what can do this to her, but the technology from other worlds generally is linked to malware or corrupting viruses. Originally, a virus in First Ones tech infected her Sword, and thus her. Now that her Sword is not physical, the tech specifically needs to target organic matter. If it does, it can make her go haywire.
Horde Education: Adora's education left her naive about non-military society.
Adora isn't actually unintelligent, but someone can be forgiven for thinking it. She tends to be reckless and often awkward. She has trouble understanding some situations and luxuries many others might take for granted.. She didn't know what a party was, or non-ration bar food, at first. She has chosen a Birthday for herself now, and does what she can to learn other things. Still, her favoring action, occasional awkward personality and lack of insight can often lead her to doing what appear to be dumb things. With the many many complexities of the World Tree and the other worlds she's learning of she could seem outright clueless about things that should seem commonly understandable.
